Hyatt Hill Country Resort
I recently had the privilege to stay a weekend at the Hyatt Hill Country resort in San Antonio with my friend Precious (Yes that’s her real name ;) . The minute I walked up to the property I felt like wasn’t even in San Antonio! The style and aesthetic made me feel like I was truly on vacation somewhere else!
But like their website says you get the “comfort and charm of a country ranch house”. The grounds are so beautiful and this 300-acre property has a Texas history that goes back to the late 19th century. The inside interior has ranch decor with lots of windows and have beautiful views of the Texas hill country.
Upon check in they offer complimentary fruit infused water, beer or wine. They also have charging stations for your electronics throughout the property. The amenities include Pet-friendly rooms

They also have family fun activities throughout the seasons.
On the second day I got to experience the spa and it was wonderful! They offer multiple packages plus you can take advantage of their amenities which include a jacuzzi, steam room and dry sauna. They also have a heated outdoor pool. I got to take advantage of one of their holiday packages and did the Stone crop restorative body wrap and facial! I felt so relaxed!!! This one is definitely a must!
They also provide a hair and nail salon and a quaint little boutique for a fun shopping experience.
Now let’s talk about the food. They have multiple options they offer!
Spring Hill Cafe:
“This casual, family-friendly restaurant is open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner serving a diverse menu for all appetites, even the little ones. Featuring tasty seasonal buffets, regional specialties, traditional favorites and more.“
Cactus Oak-
“Located across from the Pro Shop, Cactus Oak Bar is our unofficial 19th Hole. It features a full bar and tasty menu throughout the day, that includes breakfast tacos, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and more. Score-watch on our flat-screen TVs, recap the day's golf game with a friend, or cue up for a game of pool.“
Antler’s Lodge-
“The award-winning Antlers Lodge offers innovative twists on traditional Texas fare. Ingredients are thoughtfully and sustainably sourced from the best local and regional Texas farmers and artisans. Whether you prefer prime cuts, fish, or Texas wild-game, you’ll enjoy our fresh and savory selections.“
and then Charlie’s bar- “Located across from the Pro Shop, Cactus Oak Bar is our unofficial 19th Hole. It features a full bar and tasty menu throughout the day, that includes breakfast tacos, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and more. Score-watch on our flat-screen TVs, recap the day's golf game with a friend, or cue up for a game of pool.“ Fun fact: it’s the longest copper bar top in Texas!!
They also have options at the waterhole and pool areas!
I got to eat at all 3 of the restaurants and the food was truly phenomenal! At Antler I tried their Texas Charcuterie, crab cakes, venison meatballs, the ribeye cap with boar bacon Mac and cheese and fried Brussels sprouts. It was AMAZING!
They also offer a gift shop that has a Starbucks inside!
The beds were super soft and I absolutely LOVED the patio’s!
This resort is truly a hidden gem and perfect for a couples, girls or family getaway!!! There is something to do for everyone here! I highly highly recommend this for your next staycation or if your traveling into San Antonio from out of town! I truly had the best time, loved the service and felt rested and relaxed!
